Day 3.
Get up early in Ipoh and hop on another bus to Lumut, where I catch the ferry to Pangkor Island. Get to the island around 1 pm and decide to stay at Ombak Inn. Not the fancy place on the private island that some people have told me about. Unfortunately the water is out on the whole island, and I am somewhat sweaty, so I decide it's time to head to the beach. Walk 5 minutes north to Coral Bay where the beach is widest, and carve out a piece of real estate. Trying to stay in the shade as it is too early in the trip for a wicked sunburn. Go swimming - the water is so warm (warmer than I'd like but not complaining) and the sand is so soft. Sand is white, limestone with bits of shell. Chill out on the beach for a while, swimming and reading, then head for dinner at a place called Daddy's Cafe on the beach, which if anyone goes to Pangkor I highly recommend. Probably the best view/food combo on the island and very nice people. They also light up candles and little tiki torches later to keep the bugs away so it's very romantic!! I had dhall curry and a diet coke. By the time I get home the water is back on, which is nice.

At Daddy's Cafe before sunset, chilling, enjoying a coke, and planning the next few days.

My dhall curry dinner.

Sunset!

The second the sun went down these little crabs came out, the fastest crabs I've ever seen. At first I thought they were sandpipers. I tried to get up close to one by following the movement, but couldn't find it at first because they are practically transparent and blend into the sand!!! This one thought I didn't see him I'm sure.
